Simple Past Tense – Active to Passive Conversion

Simple Past Tense में Active से Passive बनाते समय हमें तीन मुख्य बदलाव करने होते हैं:

  • Object को शुरुआत में लाना
  • Helping Verb (was/were) जोड़ना
  • Main verb को V3 (Past Participle) में बदलना

Formula

Active: Subject + V2 + Object

Passive: Object + was/were + V3 + by + Subject

Helping Verb Selection (was/were)

Subject (Passive) Helping Verb
I / He / She / It / Singular Noun was
You / We / They / Plural Noun were

Easy Examples (Based on Rule 3 Only)

  • Active: She wrote a letter.
    Passive: A letter was written by her.
  • Active: They cleaned the room.
    Passive: The room was cleaned by them.
  • Active: The teacher praised the boy.
    Passive: The boy was praised by the teacher.
